Our customer, now a leading telecom pricing provider based in the US, is one such player that needed to build a robust, in-depth and up-to-date in-house pricing database, to be able to help global mobile as well as fixed-line players lead in the pricing game.


    Operational for 40 years, this telecom pricing player was striving to stay one step ahead in offering global best practices on mobile and fixed-line telecom pricing to its clients. But by 2010, just offering reliable, actionable and timely insights wasn’t enough. It was time to adopt digital advancements to become every network provider’s trusted pricing partner.


    The TransForm team stepped in with a methodical approach to streamline data capture and storage process for the our customer. Starting with a dedicated two-member team possessing strong research acumen, we helped our customer move from a conventional excel-based information data storage model to a scalable, sophisticated yet simple-to-operate database built using PHP. This database could not only capture but also offer insights on more than two million individual data points related to current pricing information with exhaustive data gathering on every plan, offer and bundle from mobile operators. The web-based database prepared and maintained by TransForm today stores data for a total of 300 mobile operators, with regular data upgradation for leading service operators spread across the globe.

    What began as support for enhancing their mobile database capabilities, soon expanded into capturing data for our customer’s widely circulated “Mobile Promotions Report”, a weekly overview of the promotions and contests offered by all the major mobile operators within an individual country.

    Since then, TransForm support has doubled in terms of resources and today, we help our customer thrive in a crowded telecom pricing space and command and edge across three vital areas – mobile pricing, mobile promotions reporting and fixed-line pricing, with a comprehensive coverage of 304 network operators in 85 countries and growing. Our customer’s stakeholders including operators, regulators, enterprises and consultants consider the reports, surveys and custom analyses produced by this pricing provider in every region of the globe, as a proven reference point.
